The Digital Performance Lab is where Keviltub supports work that sits between live performance and digital media. We are interested in streaming, interactive elements, recorded performance, and hybrid formats that combine in-person and online audiences. The lab is not a replacement for live work—it is a testing ground for ideas that extend and reimagine how performance can be made and shared.

What We Offer

We provide space, basic technical support, and a framework for R&D. Residents and project partners can use the lab to try out streaming setups, multi-camera recording, or interactive or responsive elements. We do not prescribe a single technology or format; we look for projects that have a clear artistic question and a willingness to iterate. Support can include access to our studio, advice on kit and workflow, and connections to other artists or technologists where relevant.

Who It Is For

Artists, companies, and technologists who want to develop a project that involves digital or hybrid performance. You might be a choreographer exploring live streaming, a theatre maker testing interactive design, or a collective working across disciplines. We are especially interested in work that considers accessibility and reach—how digital and hybrid forms can include audiences who cannot be in the room.

How to Get Involved

We run periodic calls for lab residencies and one-off projects. When no open call is active, we still welcome short project outlines by email. Tell us about your idea, what you need from the lab, and your timeline. We will respond and, where there is a fit, discuss next steps. For current opportunities and application windows, check the blog or contact us.
